"I left alone, my mind was blank, I needed time to think
To get the memories from my mind
What did I see? Can I believe that what I saw
That night was real and not just fantasy?"

"Just what I saw in my old dreams
Were they reflections of my warped mind staring back at me
'Cause in my dreams, it's always there
The evil face that twists my mind and brings me to despair..."

"You will like it...", my sister told me, while I was gazing on the hellish cover
of the new member for our never ending collection. Book cover shows the flaming pitchfork and it reminded me a vinyl edition of Iron Maiden unique album from 1982 - "The Number of the Beast". So sometimes you don´t need any words to know that you will really like the stuff...

Sympathy for the Devil

Devil is a part of everyone, no matter if you don´t believe in him or you visit church every Sunday just to protect yourself from sins and be closer to the God. There are so many different names of devil as much as stories about his rising. I like that one:
Once upon a time Devil/Satan/Lucifer/Samael/Čertík Bertík/Whatever was an highest angel, the right hand of the God who failed in the eyes of God, said what he/she/it wanted, did what he/she/it wanted and became that symbol of christians "evil":
             - to show what is bad and what is right;
             - another golden rule added to your private manual called "how to live your life";
             - the word from which everybody takes a distance from and persuade yourself that your                   faith is stronger than the fallen angel from a Bible.

Only The Good Die Young

Ig Perrish was just normal kid like you and me, guy who likes his life, loves his family, help the poor one, going to Church - just perfect model of a big creator. Even he was born to rich family as the youngest son of the great jazz musician, he has the best friend, loving brother and as 15 years old he found the love of his life untill ............................................Iggy wakes up with same headache into the same shitty morning, wearing the same clothes like yesterday when he was walking through the old foundry in the woods and tried to beat his own demons. After he spots his twin in the mirror, he decides to see a doctor, because except hangover he has a little problem growing on his forhead                                                                       - "horns".

Evil That Man Do

God had finished his work of creation after 7 days, I finished this book on the same day, the seventh day of creation, the holy day. Believe me today I just couldn't stop reading, it blew me away, far away from my flu and tea with honey, just me and my fight with demons, because love is a razor and I walked the line on that silver blade...

In the beginning, book is writing in a very depressive and as well funny style, our hero is tested from everywhere, just to get in touch with those unexpected things on his head. But after you get deeper and deeper into the story, maybe somebody gets bored of it, but honestly those pages were the best for me, I totally forgot about some horns. It´s a thriller-romantic-drama-fiction story so don´t expect any horror aspects or hell scenarios, it is all about the first love what keeps this story going and what happened when one night totally break apart your whole world.

Yes I enjoyed this road to hell and back and for this reason I ordered another book written by "JOE HILL" (btw did you know he´s the son of a big Stephan King?). It was a pretty nice change for me and my love for a cruel swedish crime stories, but don´t forget:

"...I'm coming back I will return
And I'll possess your body and I'll make you burn
I have the fire I have the force
I have the power to make my evil take it's course"
